Church Purpose
Our Motto’s are:“Come And Be Healed” &
“It’s not about you, and it’s not about me, but it’s about Him.”
God tells us in Ephesians 4:11 the purpose of the five-fold ministry and as Pastors this is our purpose:
- To equip the saints for the work of the ministry.
- To encourage the saints to edify the body of Christ.
- To come into the unity of the faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- To become “perfect” (mature) believers.
- To have the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
The Scriptures also tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:18 that we are ambassadors of Christ. We are here representing him on this earth. We must look at the Gospels to see what he did in order to effectively represent him.
- He taught the people.
- He preached the gospel to the people.
- He healed the people.
- He forgave the people.
- He loved the people.
The purpose of Abundant Life Fellowship is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry so that they can live fruitful and happy lives. We are here to represent our Lord Jesus Christ by having compassion on the lost and hurting people and reaching out to them. Therefore the purpose of the church is two-fold, to equip the saints and to reach out to the lost and hurting.
